Outdoor Family Session | Carlisle, PA

An outdoor family session in Carlisle, PA

It’s hard to believe I had one of these kids in 3rd grade, so this session made me feel extra old. It was so wonderful to see the Ingrahams, and I’m so thrilled I got to see these brothers for the first time in awhile. They were an amazing family to work with and were down for a little fun. For mom and dad that meant things like bumping hips while walking down a leaf-strewn path, but for the boys they had a little extra fun harassing each other in front of the camera.

I always try to incorporate a variety of combinations during family sessions, including the kids solo, just the kids, kids with each parent individually, and of course, the parents. So many families have told me that they haven’t had a picture of just the two of them since they got married – sometimes decades ago! I think it’s so important to document the foundation of your family – even if that means the toddlers are waddling around for a few seconds (or in this case, if the teens are headlocking each other)
