As soon as you pull up to the impressive lodge entrance at Liberty Mountain you get a sense of what you can expect from the entire venue: quiet, natural elegance. Thick wooden beams and glass greet you and flow throughout the entire space, and the centerpiece in the gem of the main lobby is a grand multi-story stone fireplace.
For couples looking for a one-stop venue this is a lovely option, and honestly I could see booking an entire wedding weekend here just for the convenience. There is a beautiful golf course just off of the main building, as well as snow-tubing and skiing if you’re having a winter wedding. I personally love having the ceremony and reception in the same general location so there is no travel involved for guests and cocktail hour can flow directly into reception introductions. The foliage here in fall is just absolutely stunning and you can’t beat a lovely water feature in the background of your wedding images. There is also a restaurant and retail space that is trimmed and surrounded by metal and glass, and makes for a lovely secondary backdrop and switches it up from the more natural environment of the space – variety is always amazing!
Guests can arrive, be seated outside on a gorgeous stone balcony overlooking the golf range (and beautiful trees), then be welcomed right inside via the beautiful glass doors to cocktail hour while you and the photographer/videographer explore the grounds for those perfect images. Guests can mingle back on the balcony, or perch around the beautiful stone fire pit while sipping their favorite drink. Staff can easily usher guests inside and have them find their seats with plenty of time for introductions and an evening of dancing.
The reception venue is beautiful, and again the lodge utilizes and enhances their outdoor surroundings by bringing the outdoor indoors with a beautiful two-story fireplace inside the reception venue, which makes the perfect spot for a sweetheart table.
Fun elements like up-lighting or custom lighting logos are easy to achieve once the sun sets and the party gets into full swing, which makes the transition to reception complete. There are several spots outside that would make the perfect location for a sparkler send-off.
