I have to admit, living in Carlisle I’ve driven past the Carlisle Ribbon Mill dozens of times and was never inside until recently. While the front brick stoop is beautiful, it’s unassuming in a town full of historic charm and old stone. Once you climb the steps (or take the fully accessible elevator) you’re transported to an absolutely stunning original brick and beam wedding venue that’s perfect for a wedding or absolutely gorgeous backdrop for a banquet or shower.
The natural light in this venue would have any photographer drooling! Rows and rows of gorgeous windows showcase the natural warmth of the wooden beams and beautiful flooring of the Carlisle Ribbon Mill.
There are two main rooms to the Carlisle Ribbon Mill – and each is equally beautiful and resourceful. The smaller room is perfect for cocktail hour and is where the bar is located. Original, beautiful brick is showcased throughout the entire space. There are a variety of seating options to choose from and I can imagine snuggling up on a comfortable chair enjoying an old fashioned while the happy couple dance the night away!
The main venue space seats around 150-200 and is perfect for a wedding, banquet, or shower. Ceremonies are often done on site with beautiful draping and an expert staff that turns the room over from ceremony to dance floor in the blink of an eye.
Nancy and John, the owners/operators of the Carlisle Ribbon Mill are absolutely lovely people, and are sure to help you with absolutely anything you may need in regard to planning your special day.
