3 Things to Make Your Wedding Day Go More Smoothly

  1. Make sure you have a hard end-time for your hair and makeup crew! When booking and consulting with your wonderful hair and makeup artists make sure you communicate a specific end time when hair and makeup must be completed! In reality, I always advise couples to make this time thirty minutes before you actually need to be finished as a buffer. This lets your artists work backward to calculate an appropriate start time for hair and makeup based on the number of people they will be servicing.

2. Make sure someone is designated as the boutonniere pinner! This can be the father of the groom, a designated groomsmen, or a cousin that you know will hang around during getting ready! Once flowers and delivered and suits are on, make sure this person gets to work to save time. Have this be a clearly communicated job, and make sure the person watches a few YouTube videos prior to the wedding so they are ready to go for the big day!

3. Make sure all members of the bride’s side know how to bustle the dress! Oftentimes only the MOH has this knowledge, and sometimes their services are directed elsewhere when it comes time to bustle.
